The prefect has two deputies.
Deputy prefects are elected in accordance with the procedure enacted for the election of the prefect.
Deputy prefects help the prefect in performing his obligations; they replace him in the event of inability of absence and perform other activities entrusted to them by the prefect.
The prefect can entrust deputy prefects with performing certain activities from his scope of obligations by passing a separate act.
Deputy prefects are performing their obligation professionally.
