The Administrative department for business affairs of the County Assembly and legal affairs performs activities of organizing the work of the County bodies, legal affairs transferred to administrative bodies, activities of safekeeping and publishing acts of County bodies, activities of protocol and public relations for the prefect, deputy prefect and County Assembly, cooperates with state bodies, other regional self-government units and local self-government units in the County area.
Activities of this administrative body especially refer to:
- preparing and organizing sessions of the County Assembly and its working bodies, as well as preparing the documentation respectively securing other conditions for holding sessions,
- giving legal and other professional opinions regarding the work of the prefect, the County Assembly and its working bodies,
- providing professional assistance to the prefect and deputy prefects as well as the chairman and members of the County Assembly as well as the members of its working bodies,
- informing on the work of the prefect, the County Assembly and their working bodies, submitting documentation to public discussion and monitoring and summarizing the discussion results,
- preparing work programs of the prefect, the County Assembly and monitoring their execution by preparing reports, studies and other information-analytical documentation,
- taking care on the implementation of the County Statute and the County Assembly Rules of Procedure,
- representing the Assembly in civil, enforcement, commercial, administrative and other proceedings before competent courts and other bodies,
- preparing final texts of decisions and other acts for publishing as well as editing, organizing and publishing the “Official Gazette of the Koprivnica Križevci County”,
- monitoring the working program of the Croatian Parliament, studying bills, decisions and other acts on which the Parliaments decides, and when it is in the interest of the County, providing opinions and professional processing of documentation in order to prepare the representatives for participating in the work of the Croatian Parliament and its working bodies,
- monitoring the working program of city and municipal councils, adjusting standpoints of cities and municipalities on issues decided by government authorities in the Republic of Croatia respectively adjusting issues of mutual interests decided by the bodies of cities and municipalities within the County,
- establishing contacts and cooperation with appropriate executive, representative and administrative bodies in cities and municipalities of the County for the purpose of data collection and preparing appropriate documentation for the prefect, County Assembly and their working bodies,
- providing legal protection regarding activities of managing, using and disposing of the real estates and movable assets owned by the County,
- performing professional, legal and administrative work for the Civil Service Court of the Koprivnica Križevci County,
- protocol activities,
- public relations activities, organizing press conferences, press releases and presenting activities of the County bodies in the media as well as improving public relations in general,
- cooperation with media representatives, media companies and editorial boards as well as promotion,
- editing, organizing and publishing the County Gazette of the Koprivnica Križevci County,
- activities of securing the right to access information,
- receiving complaints and remonstrances of citizens and legal entities regarding the work of the County bodies as well as the work of administrative bodies and regarding the improper conduct of employees in these bodies when they are addressing them for the purpose of exercising their rights and interests or performing their civil duties as well as taking care of timely proceeding and solving the same,
- aligning and improving the communication of the prefect and deputy prefects with the heads of administrative bodies in order to be better informed and to secure a timely and complete performance of activities and tasks,
- preparing meetings with representatives of local and regional self-government and local self-government of other countries,
- performing other relevant professional and administrative activities related to the work of the prefect, deputy prefects, County Assembly and their working bodies,
- activities important for exercising the rights and obligations of the prefect and deputy prefects established by the law and other regulations,
- establishing the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the functionaries and employees as well as performing activities related to personal status issues of functionaries and employees and the legal employment status of the prefect and deputy prefects,
- performing other human resources activities and keeping corresponding records as well as taking measures for the vocational training of functionaries and employees, in accordance with the law,
- solving administrative issues in the first-instance in accordance with special regulations,
- taking care of technical correctness of official vehicles and the transport of officials as well as delivery activities as well as other activities related to the use of official vehicles,
- general affairs, auxiliary and technical activities as well as activities related to scriptorium and archive,
- other activities in accordance with legislation and subordinate legislation.
