Deputy Prefect Sobota met with representatives of the Alps Adriatic Alliance and visited county winemakers at Gast Intervino
Winemakers from Koprivnica Križevci County performed at the Gast Intervino Fair, which was held from March 24th to 26th in Klagenfurt, Austria, and at a joint stand with the Carinthian association of winemakers, was presented five winemakers with top quality wines from the County – Matočec, Koren, Gašparić, Topolovčan, Kostanjevec. Winemakers visited Deputy prefect Darko Sobota with associates, while Marijan Matočec won the second prize with Pinot Gray at the exhibition held within the fair.
Along with the Fair, a working meeting was held with host representatives attended by the Secretary General of the Alps Adriatic Alliance Thomas Pseiner, representatives of the Fair and the Tourist Office of the Carinthian Government, two LAGs from Carinthia, Deputy prefect Sobota and associates, and representatives of LAG Podravina and Countys Association of winemakers, winegrowers and fruitgrowers.
At the meeting was talked on topics: possibilities for cooperation of LAGs in the Alps Adriatic region, presentation of the “New Network of the Alps Adriatic Network of Chambers (NAAN), project the Golden wines of Alps Adriatic and other possible projects of the Alliance for wine producers and potentials for future cooperation for Koprivnica Križevci County within the Alliance. It was agreed cooperation on the preparation of a joint LEADER project for the exchange of experts, which would be funded by EU funds, and on which will further discuss the joint transnational LAG projects in the region. In addition, were agreed as well details about the new LEADER LAG project, which will be applied on the AAA public call, which will be opened in April.
Secretary General of the AAA Thomas Pseiner presented the network of chambers and invited the county chamber to join the membership in this network, with headquarters in Klagenfurt, which brings together chambers from Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. On the meeting was discussed about details and new partnerships for the project The Golden wines of Alps Adriatic, which will be held as well this year, this time in Koprivnica – in the Museum of nutrition and restaurant Štagelj. There were also defined partnerships with austrian producing associations, as well as dates to deliver samples and the event itself (June 28th ), and during the fair producers from other regions (Italy, Slovenia) were invited to the exhibition of golden wines.
As a potential for applying on the new public call of the Alliance, was mentioned the international exhibition of schnapps, schnapps compositions and vinegar which is organized by the Agricultural association Kalinovac, and Carinthia has producer organizations ready to participate.
