In Križevci held wine exhibition „The golden wines of Alps Adriatic 2017.“
In Križevci restaurant Vojarna was on Saturday, June 10th , held the 4th in a row wine exhibition “The golden wines of Alps Adriatic 2017.”, hosted by the Association of winegrowers and winemakers “Bilikum” Križevci.
Manifestation is a joint project cofinanced by the Alps Adriatic Alliance and Koprivnica Križevcui County, and is held in partnership with the Cluster of winemakers Đurđevac, Vas County (H), Weinbauverband Kaernten (A), Remushof Jagschitz (A), KROATISCHE WIRTSCHAFTSAGENTUR IM BURGENLAND (A), Association of wine growers and wine producers Međimurje “HORTUS CROATIAE” Štrigova, Association of wine producers “Peharček”, Association of winemakers and winegrowers “Bilikum” Križevci, Community of associations of winegrowers, winemakers and fruitgrowers of Koprivnica Križevci County, Balatonboglari Hegykoszeg (H), Centre for Culture Letenye (H), Kutjevo winemakers, Weingut Neusutifter (A) and Weingut Ipsmiller (A).
To the gathered addressed the president of association “Bilikum” Denis Maksić, as well as the mayor of town Križevci, Mario Rajn, and the greetings to awarded also addressed the Secretary general of the Alps Adriatic Alliance Thomas Pseiner, who commended “the tradition of wine growing and wine production at the area of the Alliance and said that the wines arrived justified high expectations”. The manifestation was opened by the Deputy county prefect, and also the president of the counties community of associations of wine growers, winemakers and fruit growers Darko Sobota, emphasizing: “I thank to producers who with a lots of effort and love produced this superb wines, and I think that Podravina and Prigorje can be proud of their results. At present, we have 35 registered producers and nearly 3 thousand hectares of registered vineyards, and as a Community president, I hope that in the coming period we will increase the quantity, and keep the quality of the wine. I especially thank to the associations that cultivate the winegrowing and winemaking tradition of our region and make it recognizable in Croatia, Europe and beyond. “
This year at the exhibition arrived 45 samples of wines from Croatia, Austria and Hungary, from which 32 white, 6 red and 7 predicates. Wines were evaluated by the International commission led by Dr.Sc. Stanko Herjavec, who chose the best of those who have won gold medals so far.
There were awarded seven big golden medals, 23 golden diplomas, 12 silver diplomas and one bronze. The best white wine was the Pinot white of producer Ksenija Topolovčan, the best red Blaufränkisch of the producer Vinum Virinum, and the best-rated wine, the champion of the exhibition, was wine Traminac, an elective picking of dried berries of the producer Zlatko Sonenšajn, which received 97 out of 100 possible points.
From Koprivnica Križevci county, besides Zlatko Sonenšajna and Ksenija Toplovčan, golden medals also won Josip Gašparić for scented Traminac, OPG Belec for Graševina, Matočec winery for premium Graševina, OPG Kamenjka Dragutin for Kleščec, Winery Kostanjevec for Graševina, Cvekan Ivan for Chardonnay , OPG Vujić Marijana for Rajnski Rizling, Rep Vlado for Silvanac zeleni, Korenko d.o.o. for Sauvignon, OPG Posavec Dragutin for Frankovka, Savić Vesna for Graševina and OPG Grudić also for Graševina as well. Silver was won by OPG Ban Alen for Sauvignon, Ređep Marijanko for Silvanac green, winery Šipek for Chardonnay and Cik Petar also for Chardonnay.
The aim of the exhibition was wine promotion, winegrowers and winegrowing areas in members of the Alps Adriatic Alliance, as well as connecting wine producers to caterers, hoteliers and owners of the winerys. Within the programme was held the tour of the wine road “Križevci – Kalnik – Orehovec”, and after awarding medals and diplomas, the guests enjoyed in tasting of golden wines and entertainment programme.
