Opened 4th International Art Colony “Alps Adriatic heart of naive”
Within the exhibition of paintings from 3rd International art colony in social home in Hlebine was yesterday on May 19th opened the 4th international art colony “Alps Adriatic heart of naive”.
The colony organizers are Koprivnica Križevci County, Countys Tourist Board, the Association of Hlebine painters and sculptors of naive, and the Municipality of Hlebine, and this year participates the most artists so far, forty of them from the member countries of Alps Adriatic Alliance.
In his opening speech, President of the Association of Hlebine painters and sculptors of naive Zlatko Kolarek, thanked the Koprivnica Križevci County for help and support from the very beginning of the project, while the colony was opened by the director of the Tourist board Zdravko Mihevc, emphasizing that “behind the project remains a lasting cultural value, new friendships and partnership cooperation that brings new opportunities “.
On behalf of the County addressed the Head of the Section for international cooperation and european funds Vladimir Šadek who congratulated the Association for a successful gathering of artists for the fourth year in a row and emphasized the importance of international cooperation for future projects, while to the artists and organizers thanked the Mayor of Hlebine municipality Božica Trnski.
The goal of the art colony of “Alps Adriatic heart of naive” is the promotion of naive and traditional art in member regions of the Alps Adriatic Alliance, and this year is held from 19th to 21st May in Hlebine.
The project is jointly financed by the Koprivnica Križevci County and the Alps Adriatic Alliance, while the other partners are the Museum of town Koprivnica, the Association of Hlebine painters and sculptors of naive, the Municipality of Hlebine, the LAG Podravina, the Tourist association Ptuj and DLU RIFNIK from Šentjur, the Folklore Group “Hajdenjaki” Unterpullendorf and LIKUD and Centre for culture Letenye.
For all the participants of the art colony is ensured accessories for painting, and also are planned as well visits to galleries and ateliers of naive artists in Hlebine.
