Held workshop for promotion of the concept of integrated passengers transport in Koprivnica Križevci County
In the premises of Koprivnica Križevci County in Koprivnica was on Monday, April 18th, held a workshop for promotion of the concept of integrated passenger transport in Koprivnica Križevci County. The workshop was organized as part of the implementation of the Project of development of an integrated passenger transport and intermodal freight transport in the region of northern Croatia.
The workshop was attended by thirty participants, representatives of vocatinal organizations and institutions related to traffic, as well as units of local and regional selfgovernment and transporters.
To the audience introductory addressed County prefect of Koprivnica Križevci County Darko Koren who has expressed support for the project, marking it as the strategic in the long term period. With the County prefect the workshop was attended by his Deputies Ivan Pal and Darko Sobota and president of the County assembly Verica Rupčić, which is also an indication of its importance.
The working part itself started by presenting the activities in the framework of the Project of development of an integrated passenger transport and intermodal freight transport in the region of northern Croatia, about what spoke a project coordinator for Koprivnica Križevci County Vladimir Šadek.
The workflow of the Master Plan – a progress report was presented by Ivan Šimurnec from company GEKOM, who presented as well traffic issues at the area of the County. Participants of the workshop after the presentations joined the discussion, and particularly referred to the specific problems on the terrain which were previously pointed out.
Project of development of an integrated passenger transport and intermodal freight transport in the region of northern Croatia is co-financed by the European Union through the Operational Programme “Transport” 2007. – 2013. from the European regional development fund. Its value is 5.199.537,50 kunas, of which the EU co-finances 85%. The leading partner is Varaždin County and the project partners are Međimurje and Koprivnica Križevci County.
