The project of integrated transport presented to JASPERS consultants
The project of integrated passenger transport and intermodal transport of goods, which is jointly run by Varaždin, Međimurje and Koprivnica Križevci County, was presented May 16. at the premises of the Ministry of Maritime affairs, transport and infrastructure in Zagreb to JASPERS consultants. JASPERS has been established in partnership between the European Commission, EIB and EDRD’s and provides technical assistance to the new EU member states in the development of major projects that will be co-financed from EU funds.
The project was presented by representatives of the Union for the railways, with the attendance of representatives of counties partners. With the team of JASPERS and the Ministry, the presentation was attended by a representative of the Directorate General for Regional Policy of the European Commission Robert Sucz. On behalf of our county presentation of the project was attended by the director of the Institute for Physical Planning Zlatko Filipovic and employee of the Institute Saša Cestar.
In the presentation was presented and workflow of activities of this project, which is currently in preparation phase for future tender for the use of technical assistance for the preparation of feasibility study and preliminary designs, which is the foundation for building works part.
To the JASPERS consultants were during the past few days presented and other selected projects in Croatia, so their interest for the project of integrated traffic is indication that this is the activity which is at EU level acceptable and in accordance with the strategic guidelines of the financial period 2014. to 2020.
