Held art colony “Alps Adriatic heart of naive“
Community center in Hlebine was host of an art colony “Alps Adriatic Heart of Naive”. Event lasted from May 30th to June 1st, 2014. The manifestation was organized by Koprivnica Križevci County, Tourist board of Koprivnica Križevci County, Hlebine naive painters and sculptors association, Municipality of Hlebine and Museum of the city of Koprivnica, with partnership of Tourist association Ptuj (SLO), folklore group “Hajdenjaki” Unterpullendorf (A) and the Center for culture Letenye (HU). The manifestation was organized as a joint project co-financed by the Alps Adriatic Alliance.
Art colony “Alps Adriatic heart of naive” was organized with the purpose of promoting naive and traditional arts of the Alps Adriatic Alliance members and to bring together artists from the regions that participated. With 11 artists from Podravina, the members of the Association of Hlebine naive painters and sculptors, there were six artists from Hungary and Austria.
The manifestation was officially opened on Friday, May 30th 2014., with speeches by mayor of the Municipality of Hlebine Božica Trnski, president of hlebine painters Association Zlatko Kolarek, and Deputy County Prefect Ivan Pal along with performance of Hlebine folklore group. During the art colony artists painted one occasional “Easter egg from the heart”, which will be exhibited in the second half of the year with other arts in the member regions of Alliance.
