An exhibition of works made at the colony ” the Alps Adriatic heart of naive” was opened in Letenye
In the Hungarian Letenye was on Friday, October 17th, held an opening of an exhibition of works from the art colony “the Alps Adriatic heart of naive.” This is after Ptuj (Slovenia) the second exhibition on which where to the international public shown works from the Hlebine colony, held between May 31st and June 2nd this year. The opening of an exhibition was attended by the representatives of the Association of Hlebine painters and sculptors of naive, Mayor of Hlebine Municipality Božica Trnski, representing the Countys Tourist Board Director Zdravko Mihevc and expert associate Krešimir Blažek and as a representative of Koprivnica Križevci County Head of section for international cooperation and EU funds Vladimir Šadek. The exhibition was opened by the director of the Center for culture of Letenye Dömők József, with the attendance of the Mayor of Letenye Szilárd Farkas and the representatives of Zala County.
The project “Alps Adriatic heart of naive” is being realized with the financial assistance from the Alps Adriatic Alliance, and was organized with the purpose of promoting naive and traditional art. With organizers Koprivnica Križevci County, Countys Tourist board, the Association of Hlebine painters and sculptors of naive, Municipality of Hlebine and Museum of town Koprivnica, partners in the project are Tourist association Ptuj, folklore ensamble “Hajdenjaki” Unterpullendorf and Centre for culture Letenye. Next exhibition within the project will be organized in Austria’s Burgenland.
