In Đurđevac this year as well held workshop Leader LAG
In the hotel “Picok” in Đurđevac 15th and 16th september 2016., is held a workshop entitled “AAA Leader – The role of local action groups in rural development”. The workshop is part of the project co-financed by the Alps Adriatic Alliance and Koprivnica Križevci County, which brings together representatives of LAGs from the area of the countries of Alps Adriatic Alliance with aim to promote partnerships between representatives of public authorities, civil and economic sectors in rural areas. The project coordinator is LAG Podravina, and the partners are ten LAGs from Austria, Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia.
Meeting of LAGs in Đurđevac is held for the second year in a row, and this year the theme is the recognition, protection and presentation of intangible cultural heritage, which would be possible to use for tourism purposes. The goal is to prepare a joint project of LAGs with this theme that would be in a later stage applied on one of the EU’s funding sources.
The workshop began with an opening speech by the leader of LAG Podravina Mihaela Lončar, president of LAG Podravina Branko Sobota and Head of Department for international cooperation and european funds of Koprivnica Križevci County Vladimir Šadek. The first day of workshop was presented the role of LAGs and the Network for sustainable development of Croatia, LAGs participants were presented, and was held the presentation on the non-material cultural goods and their use for tourism purposes. The second day follows designing of future project proposal. The workshop itself follows the field work as well, so will the participants in these two days visit various cultural-historical destinations at the area of Đurđevacs Podravina.
