In Budapest was held final conference of the Project SEERISK
On Monday, December 1st 2014. in Budapest was held the final conference of the project SEERISK – Joint management of disasters and risk assessment and preparedness in the macro-region of the Danube region. The project is financed by the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme in the amount of 2 million Eur, and was implemented in pilot areas of the following cities: Arad, Siofok, Sarajevo-Ilidža, Kanjiža, Senica and Velingrad. The main objective of the project was to improve the coherence between risk assessment undertaken by countries in the program area of Southeastern Europe at the national and local level, particularly in case of a disaster increased by climate change. Project started in July 2012., the lead partner in the project was the Hungarian National Authority for disaster, while participants in the project were representatives of nine countries, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and the only participant from Croatia Koprivnica Križevci County.
